Pointer 1: Sesame oil and hoisin sauce are the two important ingredients to get the flavor of chinese noodles.
Pointer 2: Noodles from a chinese grocery shop.
Ingredients:
- 1 package chinese noodles
- Sesame Oil – 1 Tbsp
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 Tbsp. minced, fresh or bottled
- 1 Tbsp - fresh ginger, minced
- 1 onion, regular not red, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup green pepper cut lengthwise
- 4 Baby Corn (optional)
- Soy sauce as needed in place of salt
- 1 Tbsp - White Vinegar
- Hoisin Sauce - use as needed
- Red Chilli Sauce - use as needed
- 1 cup fresh green onions, diced
Method:
Cook noodles per instructions on package. In wok, add the canola oil. Sauté onions, add ginger and garlic, then cabbage, corn and peppers. Cook for about 8 minutes, just done and crunchy..
Add the cooked vegetables, sauces and sesame oil to the noodles. You may increase or decrease sauces as needed. Mix well. Serve with fresh cut green onions.
