Lentil Burfi

Lentil Burfi (Indian Dessert)
Also known as the 6 cups Burfi


  • 1 cup lentil flour
  • 2 cups sugar (adjustable)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup milk


Mix all ingredients in a wok. Stir continuously on medium heat. Remove from heat once the ingrediencts start to come together, thicken and ghee starts to ooze out a little.

Remove from heat. Spread on a plate that is well coated wtih ghee. Once cooled cut them into slices to your desired size.

This is what I made for Krishna Jayanthi, an offering to Lord Krishna on his birthday.
