Almond Chutney

Almond Chutney


  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1/2" fresh ginger piece
  • 1/2 tsp. tamarind extract
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh coriander chopped
  • 1 tsp. canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp. urad dhal for garnish
  • Salt to taste


You may create the almond meal by running them through in a dry grind. Make it coarse powder. Wet grind together, green chillies, ginger and tamarind extract along with the almond meal. Garnish with mustard seeds and roasted urad dhal in the tsp. of oil. Sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves. Tastes great.

Health tip:

A great substitue for coconut. Won't miss it all, plus you get the nutrition from the almond.
