Cluster Beans Sabji (vegetable)


  • 1/2 kg. cluster beans
  • 1 Tbsp. peanuts
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsps. turmeric powder
  • 2 tsps. cumin
  • 2 red chillies
  • 1 Tbsp. canola or olive oil
  • 2 tsps. salt


Chop the cluster beans to 1" length. Add turmeric to the beans and cook them with a bit of water uncovered so they don't become too soft. Watch the pot and add water as needed.

Lightly stir fry the cluster beans right after.

Dry roast peanuts until they brown slightly. Coarsely grind, raw cumin, chillies and garlic. Add to the cooked cluster beans. Add salt as needed. Mix well and serve with rice or Indian bread.
