Cauliflower Stir Fry

Spicy Cauliflower Stir Fry


  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 3 medium-sized tomatoes, cut lengthwise
  • 2 tsps. turmeric powder
  • 2 tsps. red chillie powder
  • 3 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 3 tsps. fresh garlic, mashed
  • 2 tsps. fresh ginger, mashed
  • 2 tsps. coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala
  • 2 Tbsps. fresh, chopped coriander
  • Salt to taste

  • Method:

Steam cook cauliflower for 5 minutes or until half done. Sauté onions and green chillies for a couple minutes, then add, garlic and ginger. Add turmeric, coriander and chillie powder, continue to sauté for another 3 minutes. Now add the tomatoes. Let it cook and thicken to a pasty consistency..

Finally add the cauliflower florets, garam masala and salt. Mix so the florets are covered evenly. Cook for about 10 minutes until done. Throw in the chopped coriander. Serve as an appetizer; or with rice or chappathi.
