The Tastiest Rava Dosai
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cream of wheat
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 4 green chillies, diced
- 2 tsps. cumin seeds
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup water at regular temperature
- Salt to taste
- Canola or Olive oil
Method:
Take a wide mixing bowl. Add cream of wheat, rice and all purpose flour. Mix in buttermilk and water until you get the consistency of a thin batter like that of a light tomato soup. Add the cumin, chillies and salt. Cover and let the batter stay undisturbed for at least 30 minutes.
Spread batter on a griddle like you would a pancake or crepe. Add about a spoon of oil around the batter. Let it brown, flip, add another tsp. of oil and brown the other side.
Serve the rava dosas with saambhar and chutney.
